Hole by Hole
Hole 1
With the hole bending to the left for your second shot, and all the trouble being to the right of the green, make sure you are aligned correctly. The approach is also slightly uphill so take an extra half-club.
Hole by Hole
Hole 2
You can either play your tee shot left-to-right over the large waste area to the left of the fairway, or you turn it over right-to-left to conform to the natural shape of the hole. Envision your preferred shop shape and commit.
Hole by Hole
Hole 3
A par-5 with a generous fairway but trouble runs all along the right side of the hole. Going for it in two is not as risky here because the green is long and will accept a low trajectory approach.
Hole by Hole
Hole 4
A straight drive will keep you out of trouble and give you a fairly easy approach. If the flag is back-right, consider taking more club and swing easy, to allow the ball to spin less and release gently to the back of this severely two-tiered green.
Hole by Hole
Hole 5
This picturesque hole usually provides a birdie opportunity if you know your distances and select the right iron. A large troublesome bunker lurks behind the green if you hit it too far. There is a bailout area to the right.
Hole by Hole
Hole 6
There is really no point in challenging the large waste area that runs along the left side of this par 4. A drive to the right side of the fairway will leave a mid-iron approach. The undulated green generally moves right-to-left.
Hole by Hole
Hole 7
A long and difficult par 3. Take enough club and finish the swing as you do not want to be on the right of the green here. The bailout area to the left still affords an opportunity to save par.
Hole by Hole
Hole 8
This par 5 is a birdie opportunity if you stay right of the water off the tee. There is a generous landing area for your second shot. Some longer hitters will be able to reach in two. The large green has two tiers, low front and high back.
Hole by Hole
Hole 9
This par 4 is difficult because it plays long and bunkers on the right to protect the smallish green. If you don’t get off the tee well, you may want to consider laying up to avoid a higher number.
Hole by Hole
Hole 10
This beautiful short par 4 offers strategic options. A short iron tee shot straight down the fairway takes the water and traps out of play. A more aggressive tee shot puts the traps and water in play but if successful, provides a much easier approach shot.
Hole by Hole
Hole 11
This dogleg right par 4 requires a decent tee shot to the left-center of the fairway. This large, deep green is protected by a slew of bunkers in front. The deep bunkers to the left of the green are particularly troublesome. An uphill putt here will move right-to-left.
Hole by Hole
Hole 12
This par 5 plays downhill. A very long tee shot might get down to the bottom of the hill, but most play it as a three-shot hole. Keep the tee shot slightly left and the second shot right, away from the water.
Hole by Hole
Hole 13
Fairly easy par 3 that plays slightly uphill. A solid strike with enough club will keep you away from the bunker trouble front and right.
Hole by Hole
Hole 14
A dogleg right par 4 that plays long. Only the longest hitters will avoid having a fairway metal or long iron second shot. A low trajectory approach to the left of the front right bunkers will often carry up and onto the green.
Hole by Hole
Hole 15
A solid drive will give you a mid-iron approach shot to a long narrow green that is heavily bunkered on the right side.
Hole by Hole
Hole 16
A long straight or slightly right-to-left drive is required here. Don’t hook it through as there is trouble all along the left side. Next is a difficult, mid-iron approach to a narrow, heavily bunkered green that looks very small from the fairway. A bogie 5 is not a bad score here.
Hole by Hole
Hole 17
This green has a depression around the right and back, leaving a small. Flat terrace where the flag can often be found. Missing the green left will result in a high score. Variable winds off the lake can make club selection difficult.
Hole by Hole
Hole 18
The obvious trouble here is the lake that borders the entire hole on the left side. Two straight shots will leave a short-iron approach to this large green. Aim a little right as the ball will move right-to-left once on the green.
